Hello there! 🌈 This is Fosca from Italy and Annisa from Indonesia 👩🏾🦱🧕🏽
One of us experienced incredibly hurtful racism. We felt powerless in that particular moment of discrimination when it was happening to us. And yet, we don’t want to stay silent about it. As a response to this madness, we decided to do something.
"Who are we, really?” As human beings, it is true that we belong to a community as we are social creatures. We become a part of a community as well as the community becomes part of us. However, we are often labeled based on which community we belong to. Skin color, gender, religion, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, etc, that are parts of our identity, often become the definition of us as a person. This video is a way for us to remind ourselves that each of us is a unique individual and making fun of the stereotypes, as well as confirming them, is a way to overcome them!
It was a spontaneous idea and the video making process was done in a quite short time: all the clips were taken in two days in Venice with limited equipment, time, and skill – as we are not professionals 🤠. Despite our shortcomings, we are eager to share with you our thoughts regarding the issue.
Last but not least, we would like to thank the people around us who were involved in the video making process: watched the video a hundred times and gave us some feedback before it was released!! 🫂 We hope you enjoy it!!
Lots of love,
✨Fosca and Annisa✨

Hello! My name is Annisa from Jakarta, Indonesia. Right now I’m pursuing my masters in Local Development at the University of Padova. I am fascinated and interested to know how development can be implemented to actually can give a positive impact on people’s lives, government’s role, and which aspect should be improved, based on what values? (Or whose values?). I have a dream to have a coffee shop with a library one day, where it also has a big yard so it can be a place for the community to share ideas and build their life in a way that they need based on their beautiful local values. I love doing sports and hanging out with my friends (they are lovely and beautiful).

Hello! My name is Fosca and I am a student of Local Development. I am new to this world but I would like to know more about social integration and to help destroying stereotypes and prejudice, hopefully also through my “art”. I am a bit chaotic and into a lot of stuff (maybe too much sometimes) but I like it this way :) That said, I wish to “see” you all soon and I wish you a nice (and sunny) day!
